WFA i - WILDERNESS FIRST AID INSTRUCTOR COURSE
Interested in becoming a Wilderness Medicine Instructor?
Our wilderness medical program includes the Wilderness First Responder (WFR), Wilderness First Responder Recertification (WFR-Recert), and Wilderness First Aid (WFA).
These courses are taught with a hands-on focus giving students the skills and knowledge so they can make educated decisions and know what to do when confronted with a wilderness setting emergency.
This course is intense and student-led with lots of practice delivering lessons with peer and instructor feedback during the course. We will have guest lecturers on the course and our aim is that you leave with the knowledge of all the courses, teaching styles, and an increased medical knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.

Students who pass the WFA-I course will be presented with a pathway based on performance and previous experience.
Some examples of pathways could include:
- Can teach full line up of courses.
- Must assist in courses before can go alone.
- Can teach just WFA / WFAW until further experience has been gained.
